As previously announced, teaching activities in the academic year 2020/21 year will be performed according to a hybrid model of teaching, concluded the SUM Senate.
Following the Order of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Senate's conclusions on the manner of teaching refer to the hybrid model of the teaching process. It is the model that combines online classes through online platforms and the classic form, which includes courses and exams conducted in the premises of organizational units.
As previously announced, the faculties will perform teaching activities in the academic year 2020/21 year according to a hybrid model concluded the SUM Senate.
The organizational units will decide on models of the teaching process, but most of it will be online except for those classes that can be done only in a classical way of teaching.
When conducting classes and exams in the classical form, all university staff and students must respect all prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures for prevention of COVID-19. The University of Mostar will monitor the epidemiological situation, orders and recommendations of the competent authorities and adjust its conclusions and decisions related to the implementation of teaching activities.
The academic year 2020/2021 will begin on 5 October at 10.00 with the address of the Rector of the University of Mostar Prof Zoran Tomić, PhD, and Marija Barun, acting President of the SUM Student Council.
The SUM Senate has also adopted important documents in the field of quality assurance at the University of Mostar, i.e. Statement on Quality Assurance Policy, Quality Assurance System Strategy, Guide to Quality Assurance and the Quality Assurance Manual of the University of Mostar. Besides, they made a decision on the list and manner of conducting university elective courses in the academic year 2020/2021.
At the Senate session, three full professors, seven associate professors, 12 assistant professors, 14 senior assistants, six assistants were elected, and questions from postgraduate studies were voted on.
