Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid hosted the EUPeace European Training Week titled "European Higher Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." The three-day program, held at the Arrupe Campus, brought together experts and participants from partner institutions within the EUPeace alliance. The training was carried out as part of Work Package 2 (WP2 – Curriculum Transformation), focusing on the contemporary challenges facing European higher education in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) implementation.
From July 8 to 10, 2025, more than 20 participants and 9 lecturers from partner institutions took part in a series of interactive workshops covering topics such as the ethical aspects of AI application, the digital competencies of academic staff, the transformation of pedagogical approaches, and innovation in educational practice. The program was designed to foster creative thinking, the exchange of experiences, and the development of skills necessary for the effective integration of new technologies into higher education.
The University of Mostar actively participated in the program through the workshop "Intelligent Course Design and Digital Skills: Integrating AI into University Teaching," led by Robert Slišković, an IT engineer at SUMIT, specializing in the development of applications for educational purposes.
Prof. Marija Čutura, PhD, coordinator of Work Package 3, also represented the academic community of the University of Mostar during the event, further strengthening the University's international presence and recognition within the EUPeace network.
The EUPeace Training Week proved to be an extremely valuable platform for knowledge exchange, the development of cooperation, and the empowerment of teaching staff in the context of responsible, inclusive, and technologically advanced higher education in Europe.
