Within the working visit, Prof Sanja Bijakšić, PhD, vice-rector for international international relations and Prof Zdenko Klepić, PhD, vice-rector for Business, Human Resources and Quality Management of the University of Mostar hosted the representatives of the Institute of Viticulture and Oenology, which operates within the University of Pécs. The topic of the working meeting was the presentation of institutions, the possibility of implementing joint projects and the development of academic cooperation.
Zoltan Madaras, director of the Institute of Viticulture and Oenology and Peter Teszlak, PhD, Director of Science, presented the Institute that operates together with Hungarian universities and partner institutions. The Institute implements national projects and participates in European programmes in the framework of international cooperation.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, Prof Ivan Ostojić, PhD, and vice-dean for international relations of APTF Prof Adrijana Filipović, PhD, also attended the meeting and presented the projects of their Faculty.
At the working meeting, the representatives of both sides agreed on future joint projects in the field of viticulture and oenology. In addition to the University, i.e. the Faculty and the Institute, they also discussed the inclusion of companies with common interests in future projects aiming to connect the academy and the economy. Besides, they talked about strengthening mutual mobility, specifically through international cooperation programmes Erasmus+ and CEEPUS network.
They concluded the working visit with a tour of the Experimental Centre in Rodoč and vineyards, where APTF students apply their knowledge in practice through laboratory exercises and fieldwork.
