The Chinese delegation led by Yu Hongjun, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, visited the University of Mostar and, on that occasion, met with the University's leadership, headed by the Rector, Professor Dr. Zoran Tomić.
Rector Tomić introduced the University of Mostar to the delegation, highlighted the achievements and progress of SUM (University of Mostar), and emphasized the good collaboration with Chinese universities and the Embassy of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The University of Mostar has signed various agreements with universities and institutions, including Northwest Normal University, Confucius Institute HEADQUARTERS (HANBAN), Huawei Technologies, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), Nishan World Center for Confucianism Studies, Qingdao University of Technology (QUT), Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT), Beijing International Studies University (BISU), and Nanchang University.
Through the cooperation agreement in the field of the Chinese language with Confucius Institute HEADQUARTERS, the participation of a Chinese lecturer in the teaching program of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University has been made possible. Currently, lecturer Xu Haowen is at the University, and 45 students have attended the Basic Chinese Language Courses 1 and 2. In collaboration with the Office of International Cooperation at the Faculty of Philosophy, the lecturer conducts open lectures for the public on Chinese culture.
