The Register of Works and Register of scientific-research and professional projects of the University of Mostar was presented to University management and Deans of University components. The SUMIT – IT Centre of the University of Mostar is in charge of the maintenance and development of this system.

The SUM Register of Projects was presented by the Head of IT Centre, Tomislav Volarić, PhD who explained that the Register will serve to “networking and recording of achieved and current scientific-research and professional projects on the components”. The services of the University will enter all the projects into the system to complete the Register.

Marko Odak, PhD, the member of SUMIT presented the Register of Works. He said, “Our wish is to develop a clear and transparent system of scientific achievements available to the public in order to provide with information and evaluation”.

The University and the components are in the continuous process of evaluation by BiH and RH higher education agencies. For that purpose, different reports are available. The papers contain all the elements according to the norms of the methodological data specification (name and surname of the author, title of work, place and year of publication, publisher, a title of the publication –if it is an article and further information on publication).

The entry into the Registry is an obligation of academic staff and the works from the register will be used in selection to vocation. The pilot project was conducted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and by the end of the academic year, it is planned for all the components.

Besides the works of academic staff, the entire system can be included in a digital repository together with the student works, bachelor, graduate and PhD dissertations.
