Within the framework of the EUPeace Alliance – European Universities for Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies, the EUPeace Conference & Autumn Meetings were held at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen from September 22 to 25. The conference, titled “Advancing Justice, Peace, and Inclusiveness in Times of AI”, brought together scholars, educators, policymakers, and civil society representatives to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and global challenges, including social justice, migration, human rights, environmental sustainability, and inclusive healthcare.
During the conference, representatives of the Alliance member institutions held joint meetings of various EUPeace bodies, including the Governing Board, Steering Committee, Education Board, Monitoring Board, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Board, and the Digitalization Office.
The delegation from the University of Mostar included: Prof. Dr. Sanja Bijakšić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Zdenko Klepić, Vice-Rector for Operations, Human Resources, and Quality Management, Prof. Dr. Davorka Topić Stipić; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iva Kordić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marijan Tustonja and Tomislav Papac. The meetings focused on discussing the future activities of the Alliance, with particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation and increasing the involvement of all member institutions in the European academic space.
