The 2nd International Staff Training Week ended with a Certificate Award Ceremony in the outdoor central part of the University of Mostar campus. This event, organized by the International Relations Office of the University of Mostar, brought together 30 participants from partner universities from Spain, Austria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and Croatia.

The International Relations Office staff presented the University of Mostar to the participants. The week started at the Faculty of Medicine. After the official opening and presentation of the University of Mostar, participants visited the Dental Clinic and heard about the English study programme Medicine and other opportunities for studying in foreign languages at SUM.

The second day included presentations on COVID-19 impact, presentations of partner universities, and presentations of the Office for Students with Disabilities and the Centre for Information Technology of the University of Mostar, held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. After the working part of the day, the participants visited the University Smart Campus, University Television (SUM TV) and Media Centre, Learning Factory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, and had meetings on future cooperation with representatives of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy.

As part of the third day, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Široki Brijeg, Ms Elena Eyngorn from the Technische Universität in Berlin delivered an online lecture on the topic of How to write a successful project proposal for Erasmus+ and Horizon projects. Ms Eyngorn has a rich experience in international relations as she has been developing and managing strategic international educational and research programmes for more than 10 years. Participants were also introduced to Erasmus+ projects of the University, but also the Project Office through examples of good practices of other EU projects.

On the fourth working day, the participants were hosted by the Faculty of Science and Education in Rodoč. Prof Irene Zavrl, PhD, from the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Austria, leader of the consortium of doctoral studies, presented the International Joint Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Study Programme of International Economic Relations and Management and Education and Communication Sciences, which includes the University of Mostar. Also, the Head of the Office for Partnerships and Projects, Ivona Peternel, PhD, from the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula, gave a lecture on the internationalization of universities through the development of international projects.

The opportunity to taste wine and other fruits of student work was provided by the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, and participants had the opportunity to visit and hear about the University Gallery and Printing House of the University of Mostar - PRESSUM.

As pointed out at the award ceremony, such events are a unique opportunity to promote the University, and thus strengthen partnerships and expand international networks of cooperation in higher education.
