Meeting of Representatives from the University of Zagreb and the Rectors' Conference of the Republic of Croatia with the Delegation of the Group for Cooperation of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) Held on June 13 at the University of Zagreb
At the meeting, Prof. Sanja Bijakšić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, represented the University of Zagreb, further underscoring the importance of regional cooperation in strengthening international academic ties.
GCUB is a prestigious organization comprising more than 80 leading universities across Brazil, including those highly ranked internationally such as the University of São Paulo, State University of Campinas, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, State University of São Paulo, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on enhancing international cooperation through concrete initiatives such as student and academic staff exchanges, joint scientific research projects, and establishing more permanent forms of institutional partnerships.
This meeting represents an important step towards expanding the global presence of Croatian-language universities and fostering closer connections with higher education institutions in Latin America.
