As part of a working visit to Israel, a delegation from the University of Mostar signed an agreement with the Azrieli College of Engineering Jerusalem. The importance of this Agreement is evidenced by the presence of two ambassadors at the signing. The University of Mostar is the first university to visit Azrieli College after the COVID-19 pandemic, i.e., two years.
The delegation visited the University and their startup accelerator - "AtoBe". The hosts, Prof Rafi Aviram, PhD, and Michael Mizrahi, Head of AtoBe, presented the faculty and potential areas of cooperation with the University of Mostar, mainly in engineering, IT and health programmes. Then, they signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, after which the Azrieli College will officially visit Mostar. The agreement will enable new steps forward in technology, startups and knowledge exchange.
BiH Ambassador to Israel, Duško Kovačević, attended the signing of the Memorandum. He said that SUM is an authority in many areas and that he believes that SUM will become a leader in BiH in startup initiatives with the help of partners from Israel. The signing was also attended online by Tirana-based Israeli Ambassador to BiH Noah Gal Gendler, who said he was delighted with the university's swift initiative to come to Israel.
