University of Mostar signs cooperation agreements with three Polish universities

The University of Mostar has signed cooperation agreements with three international higher education institutions from Poland – Vizja University, International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw, and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. The agreements were signed by Prof Dr Maciej Kluz, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Vizja University, and Prof Dr Sanja Bijakšić, Assistant Rector for International Cooperation, on behalf of the University of Mostar. The signing took place during a two-day visit by Prof Dr Kluz to the University of Mostar.

Vizja University is focused on international education, innovation, and the development of study programmes tailored to the needs of the global labour market. During his visit, a series of meetings were held at the Rectorate and at various faculties of the University of Mostar, aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation and establishing new partnerships.

Prof Dr Kluz met with Prof Dr Sanja Bijakšić, Assistant Rector for International Cooperation at the University of Mostar, as well as with representatives of several university units. As part of the visit programme, meetings were also held with representatives of the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, where he discussed with Vice-Deans responsible for international cooperation the possibilities for student and staff exchange and the launch of joint research and project activities.

During his stay in Mostar, Prof Dr Kluz also visited the Faculty of Health Studies, where he met with the Dean, Prof Dr Vajdana Tomić. He also visited the SUMIT Centre, where he held a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Digitalisation and Technology Transfer, Prof Dr Tomislav Volarić. As part of his visit, he toured the University of Mostar Museum of Modern Art and learned about the activities of this cultural institution operating within the University.

The signed agreements open the way for closer academic and scientific collaboration, increased mobility of students and staff, and the development of joint projects in the future.
