At the session of the Senate of the University of Mostar, important points related to the improvement of scientific and teaching activities, administrative procedures, and the development of the university community were discussed.
The Senate approved the report on applications for enrollment in the 2025/2026 academic year. The University of Mostar continues to record growing interest from prospective students. The number of applications in the July intake increased by more than 10% compared to the previous year, and the positive trend continued in the September intake, which also saw an increase in student numbers compared to previous periods. The University attracts young people with diverse study programs, modern study conditions, and international opportunities.
The Senate decided to announce a call for selection and re-selection in scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, and teaching positions, as well as appointments related to academic and teaching functions. Within these selections and re-selections, four associate professors, two assistant professors, and three senior assistants were appointed.
Additionally, the Senate granted approval for the University of Mostar, through its publishing house PRESSUM, to publish a series of new books, catalogs, and textbooks in various fields.
The Senate’s decisions clearly demonstrate the University of Mostar’s strategic focus on strengthening the quality of study programs, promoting scientific work, and creating a modern, internationally recognized academic environment.
