The University of Mostar has got a new international partner, the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, a French university based in Bordeaux with more than 15,000 students.
As the intellectual centre of southwestern France, the University of Bordeaux Montaigne offers a number of programmes in the fields of art, language, literature, and the humanities and social sciences.
More than ever before, the University of Bordeaux Montaigne strives to follow the path of Michel de Montaigne and in accordance with the values that have characterized it since its inception, the university strives to be humanistic, research, polyglot, civic, creative and digitally connected.
It is interesting to note that since June 2007, the city of Bordeaux has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, in recognition of the unity of its exceptional urban heritage, and in 2014 was ranked among the top five on the list of "Best French Cities for University Study".
The signed agreement refers to exchange programmes of teaching, research, administrative staff and students, development of new study programmes, joint research, cultural programmes and conferences and other activities of common interest in the field of arts, languages, humanities and social sciences.
