Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the University of Mostar, Prof. Dr. Sanja Bijakšić, and the Head of the Office for International Cooperation, Dr. Inja Stojkić, participated in the EAIE 2025 Conference and Exhibition held in Gothenburg, Sweden. EAIE (European Association for International Education) is the largest European platform for international networking in higher education, bringing together thousands of experts, academic staff, and university representatives from around the world each year. The conference provides a unique opportunity for exchanging experiences, presenting new trends, and establishing concrete forms of collaboration.
Vice-Rector Bijakšić participated in the European Commission panel titled “Getting to know the Western Balkan higher education systems.” Besides presenting the education systems of the region’s countries, the panel provided an additional opportunity to present the University of Mostar, its structure, and international activities.
The University representatives used the conference to hold numerous meetings with representatives from universities in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Argentina, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, and many other countries. Particular emphasis was placed on arranging student and staff mobility, especially with partners from Spain, Portugal, and Italy, which are among the most attractive destinations for exchange programs. With partners from Argentina, Universidad Nacional de La Matanza, the co-organization of the international conference “PR, Media & Sports Days University of Mostar” was agreed upon, opening opportunities to expand collaboration in this field.
By participating in the EAIE 2025 Conference, the University of Mostar is expanding its network of international partners and building bridges toward new academic and research opportunities. The collaborations established and contacts made will contribute to greater access to international experiences for students and faculty, strengthening the University as a recognized and relevant partner on the global educational map.
