The University of Mostar has become a member of the IAU (International Association of Universities). The International Association of Universities was founded in 1950 under the auspices of UNESCO. IAU gathers over 600 members from more than 130 countries all over the world.
The International Association of Universities is a leading world association whose members are higher education institutions and organizations, which act on common issues and cooperate with various international, regional, and state authorities in higher education.
The association emphasizes the social importance and activity of universities and other higher education institutions through research work and teaching activities.
Secretary General of the IAU, Hilligje van't Land, PhD, congratulated Rector Tomić and the entire University on their membership in this prestigious organization and conveyed welcoming words on behalf of Professor Andrew Deeks, President of the IAU, and all members of the Board of Directors.
